Because of our passion for creativity, our initial project into the world of Crypto had to be an NFT collection. Here is a quote from Staxed, project lead for DragonZ, explaining his thought process behind the project.
I'm new to crypto, having been recently introduced to it by my good friend H.C. Townes...who had been pestering me for months to get into it. I never really paid much attention to crypto...swearing it off as a crazy investment because I never took the time to actually research anything about it...until I finally relented to H.C.'s persistent comments and listening to him talk about what he was doing next. Then...he explained to me what an NFT really was. It wasn't just a "digital image" as I had previously thought; it was development, creativity, coding, planning, etc. I went home that day and started looking into the world of NFTs and was instantly hooked.
As I researched and looked into all the NFT options out there, I noticed the vast majority of what I was seeing was pretty simple graphic designs, mostly pixelated characters with random features. While this was pretty neat from a collectors point of view...and I don't mean to take anything away from these projects by saying this...the graphics just didn't scream at me. I wanted some collectibles that had amazing looking visuals and overall uniqueness to them, and while I found a few...I decided (with H.C.'s urging...) to start working on my own. Well...truthfully...the conversation started with his idea and then somehow I got sidetracked and started working on my own...so be on the lookout for our second release...that one's H.C.'s baby!
I enjoy collecting. I really enjoy looking for the rare things, the things you don't find often. So that aspect of NFTs really intrigues me. NFTs with attributes and traits and rarities, etc...that's what I wanted to do, but also make them unique with incredible graphics, not just pixelated layers. That's when I decided to mix this new found pleasure of crypto with an existing fondness for playing around with AI. And of course, I love dragons. At that moment...DragonZ were born.
Mixing the attributes and trait rarities that you can find in other projects, with unique visuals so no one NFT looks too much like another, I was able to piece together a method for mixing both worlds.
DragonZ were designed from the ground up to stand out from the crowd, with both their visual appeal and a broad attribute system that should make the collector in all of us go wild. Technically, every NFT in this collection is unique, but with a built in rarity system to ensure some "features" are more sought after than others due to their scarcity.
Astonishing visual appeal
A friendly, fun, and whimsical vibe
~6,789,120,300 possible trait combinations...uniqueness is guaranteed
16 separate viewable metadata trait types to hunt for
3 additional hidden trait types ensure even more uniqueness
Built in rarity system, with common to extremely rare trait options
Created by AI, so sometimes flaws happen. Instead of regenerating every single image until it is perfect, we thought it would be interesting to keep some of those flaws and implement a grading system...some people like collecting screwed up stuff right? (Don't worry, the REALLY bad ones were regenerated...)
6 tier grading system built in - Will you get a flawless...or maybe a misprint?
Even though a painstakingly crafted AI prompt is used for the artwork, each one is viewed and graded individually...to give it that personal touch.
